Women in Data Podcast

Business challenge:
The tech industry, though diverse in its offerings, famously lacks diversity in its workforce. Thus, it’s up to businesses and institutions to take a lead, set by example and to champion diversity across the sector.
This has been one of the main inspirations behind our Women in Data Initiative, and the inspiration for our Hackathon, which we have partnered with the UK’s largest female data professional network, Women in Data.
At the half-way point of the event, and with over 300 woman from across 41 countries engaged in the Hackathon, TrueCue’s Data Science Lead, Bingqian Gao, and Rachel Keane, recruitment expert and co-founder of Women in Data, were invited to share their experiences with EM360 Tech, in a live podcast discussion.
In this podcast, moderated by EM360’s Rema Farhan, Bingqian and Rachel discuss:
How the data industry can benefit from diversity
What the impact of COVID-19 has been on Women in Data
Their thoughts and advice on what schools and businesses could be doing to encourage women to pursue a career in the technology industry
Tune in to find out more!
